Web site for producer / engineer / musician / writer Chris Xefos

Site Redesign: This site was re-designed from scratch to provide information and samples to fans and potential clients. PHP is used to deliver current content to end users. An admin utility allows even inexperienced users to update the site as needed for news or new project information/samples.

Helping to bridge the gap between audio and IT

amade.us is a site designed to encourage the sharing of IT knowledge among audio professionals. Backing up data, upgrading hardware and solving networking issues have become audio engineers responsibilities they never had in the analog world. amade.us gives them a place to get/give advice and even lend a hand when in trouble.

moth wranglers

The anti-band collaboration between ld beghtol (flare, three terrors, guest vocalist on the magnetic fields’ 69 love songs) and chris xefos (drop quarters, ex-king missile).

Completely redesigned site to promote the release of their new record, "Never Better." moth wranglers feel the silence in their music is just as important as the sounds. Their new site reflects this idea by using white space as a major design element.

As part of the redesign, the site became completely dynamic using PHP and MySQL to pull all content. Administration tools were built for the webmaster to update/add/remove content without having to know HTML, SQL, or any other technologies aside from a keyboard and mouse.

Magnetic Website
Magnetic Website

A record label started by musical pioneers Victor Krummenacher and Jonathan Segel of Camper Van Beethoven

Admittedly, the Magnetic record label's web page lacked structure. They needed a simple navigation for fans to find the information they want about the artists associated with Magnetic. I designed this site from scratch to be simple and clean. As a bonus, it is also cross-browser and search engine friendly.

This piece was designed for use by the Sales department as incentive for internal employees to promote sales. MetLife employees who generate sales leads are rewarded with this phone pass.

A project recording studio located in San Francisco

Magnetic Recording needed a corporate identity and accompanying website. Their logo was designed to reflect the studio's crisp, bold sound. The site also accounts for Magnetic Recording's fun atmosphere.

Web page used to promote Context Media's Interchange Platform

Context Media attended the National Broadcasters Association trade show giving away keychain-sized Etch-A-Sketch toys. This web page was used to follow-up with leads gathered at the trade show. Using the Etch-A-Sketch theme on the page helped Context Media's brand identity and reminded potential customers what they saw at the trade show. A little fun was added at the end allowing the user to actually draw with the virtual Etch-A-Sketch.

I took this project through every process including concept, design and programming of HTML, Javascript and Flash.

Flash presentation used by Context Media at the National Broadcasters Association convention to attract guests and allow salespeople to give media professionals a high-level view of the Interchange Platform's enterprise asset integration abilities

Based on an abstract idea from the marketing department, I single-handedly took this project through every phase including storyboard, design, image production, music production and programming in under 3 days. The presentation stops at certain points which allows the sales person time to relate what is being shown to the individual's specific business needs. To move to the next section, click the arrow.

This was originally meant to be displayed as a kiosk, so it has not been optimized for the web. Should you choose to view this presentation, it will take a very long time to load.
