Earlier this year I took a job working with Sony as
a Quality Assurance Engineer on a product for other
Sony departments to use to get content from their source
to your Sony portable devices. So far it’s been a great
experience. I am in control of the entire QA process
and we all seem to be on the same page about how much
of that should be “process” and how much should
be actual testing.

It's been a crazy year. Sane Solutions was bought
by Unica Corporation and moved to Waltham, MA. I decided
to move out to San Francisco but continue to work from
home on NetTracker (now dubbed NetInsight). Working
from home has been an interesting experience – as
has moving to San Francisco. On the web front, I've
completed
McKinley
Elementary School's website. The big learning
experience for me on this one was making the site bi-lingual.
It was a lot of fun to design and implement and helps
out my daughter's school in the best way I can.
More stuff coming up in the next month or so...

I've been working on some small projects like updates
to peterstraub.net.
Since last post (ages ago) I redegisned mothwranglers.com.
The biggest recent news is that I've finally redesigned xefos.com.
Other than that, I've mostly been working on under-the-hood
stuff like getting dermanouelian.com onto a new server
that I have complete control over. I learned much about
setting up mail (virtual domain, virtual mailboxes,
virtual aliases, virtual everything).
I haven't written anything for publishing in a while.
My last piece was in the Village
Voice about why Live
Journal sucks. I'm currently contributing to a
piece about backing up files as related to recording
studios for the magazine TapeOp.
I'll let you know when it's published. It's also inspired
a new website for exchanging IT information among audio
professionals called amade.us.
That site will be built out more when the article is
published.

This page has been redesigned to focus on work I’ve
accomplished over the last few years. If you’d
like more information about any of the samples here,
feel free to email
me by clicking the contact button on any page.
I am currently seeking freelance work.
My web developing experience includes HTML,
Flash, XML, XSL, PHP, Javascript and design
using industry standard software including Photoshop,
Illustrator, QuarkXPress and Dreamweaver. Having
many years of pre-press experience,
I can handle your print and web communication needs.
I’ve recently started working at Sane
Solutions as a Quality Assurance Engineer. It’s
been a great experience so far. While I always consider
freelance opportunities, my focus will shift to my responsibilities
with Sane. Incidentally, if you’re looking for
some pretty amazing internet traffic analysis tools,
I highly recommend Sane’s NetTracker
product. Ever want to know who’s coming to your
site, who sent them, what they looked at, what they
clicked on, when they leave and if they ever come back?
NetTracker
will tell you all that and more...
If you happen to have a link to an old section of the
site, it will still work. If you’re looking for
something that used to be here and you no longer have
the link, just ask.
